Stainless Steel Circle
Punched, laser-cut and plate-cut stainless circles and blanks from Ø 50 mm to Ø 2500 mm in 202, 304, 304 DDQ, 316L, 410 and 430 — deburred, PVC-protected and supplied ready for spinning, drawing and pressing.
What is Stainless Steel Circle?
A stainless steel circle is a round blank punched, laser-cut or turned from sheet, plate or coil, supplied in diameters from 50 mm to 2500 mm and thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 60 mm. Circles are the standard input for spinning, deep drawing and pressing operations — cookware bodies, dished ends, tank covers, blind flanges and filter plates — and Steelco supplies them in 202, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 410 and 430 with deep-draw (DDQ) tempers, edge deburring and PVC protection.

Why Choose Stainless Steel Circle
Deep-draw quality tempers
DDQ / EDD 304 and 202 circles are supplied in fully annealed condition with controlled grain size and low residual stress, so blanks draw without earing or splitting.
Blank-ready — no nesting waste
Buying finished circles removes the skeleton scrap of blanking from sheet; you pay only for the disc you use, which typically saves 15–25% of material on round parts.
Tight diameter tolerance
Punched circles hold ±0.5 mm on diameter and laser-cut circles ±0.2 mm, with concentricity suited to automatic feeding on spinning lathes.
Burr-free edges
Edges are deburred and, on request, rolled or radiused so blanks do not tear the draw ring and operators can handle them safely.
Any diameter, small or large
From 50 mm utensil blanks to 2500 mm plate discs for dished ends and tank covers, cut from plate up to 60 mm thick.

Grade chemistry and mechanical properties supplied in stainless steel circle.
Chemical composition and mechanical properties are grade properties, not form properties — the same grade keeps the same chemistry whether it is supplied as sheet, plate or coil. The tables below list the specified limits for each grade we stock in stainless steel circle, tested and certified to ASTM A240 / ASME SA240. Values are weight percent (maximum unless a range is shown); mechanical values are minima in the annealed condition.

Frequently asked questions.
Answers to the questions our Mumbai desk is asked most often.
What is a stainless steel circle used for?
+
Circles are round blanks used as the starting material for spinning, deep drawing and pressing. Typical end products are cookware bodies, dished vessel ends, tank covers, blind flanges, clutch plates and filter discs — anywhere a round pressed part is needed without the scrap of blanking from sheet.
What is DDQ and do I need it?
+
DDQ means deep-draw quality: fully annealed material with controlled grain size and low residual stress, so blanks draw deeply without earing, orange-peel or splitting. Specify DDQ for cookware, sinks and multi-stage drawn parts; ordinary annealed circles are adequate for single-stage pressing and flat covers.
What diameter tolerance can you hold?
+
Punched circles hold ±0.5 mm on diameter, laser-cut circles ±0.2 mm, and plasma-cut plate discs ±1.0 mm. Machined circles for flange and closure applications can be turned to ±0.1 mm where the drawing requires it.
Can you supply circles with a centre hole or bolt pattern?
+
Yes. Centre holes, bolt-hole PCDs, slots and profiled cut-outs are punched or laser-cut in the same operation, so blanks arrive ready for assembly with no secondary drilling on your line.
Do circles come deburred?
+
Edge deburring is standard on all circles. Rounded or chamfered edges are available on request, which is recommended where blanks are fed automatically or drawn through a hard draw ring.
Is there a minimum order quantity for circles?
+
No minimum for standard diameters in stocked grades — orders start at a single piece. For very large diameters, unusual grades or thicknesses that must be rolled to order, a mill minimum applies with a 4–6 week lead time.
