ASTM A234 WPB is the carbon steel buttweld fitting specification used with A106 and A53 pipe in moderate and high-temperature service. Elbows, tees, reducers and caps are hot- or cold-formed to ASME B16.9 dimensions from seamless or welded material with 415 MPa minimum tensile strength and 240 MPa minimum yield.
