Copper beryllium C17200 contains 1.80–2.00% beryllium and age-hardens to 1140–1380 MPa tensile strength with 36–42 HRC — the highest strength of any copper alloy. It is non-magnetic and non-sparking, making it the standard material for safety tools, downhole components, springs, moulds and high-load electrical contacts.
