Cupro nickel 70/30 (UNS C71500) contains about 30% nickel, giving higher strength and greater tolerance of high-velocity, sand-bearing and polluted seawater than 90/10. It is specified for condenser and heat-exchanger tubing, hydraulic lines and offshore piping where erosion-corrosion resistance above 3.5 m/s is required.
