Cupro nickel 90/10 (UNS C70600) contains roughly 10% nickel with 1.0–1.8% iron and up to 1% manganese, and is the workhorse alloy for seawater piping. It resists chloride pitting, biofouling and stress-corrosion cracking, and performs best at flow velocities between 1 and 3.5 m/s where a protective cuprous-oxide film stays intact.
