Hastelloy B2 (N10665) for hydrochloric-acid and reducing-environment service in chemical processing.
Hastelloy B2 (UNS N10665) is a nickel-molybdenum alloy with about 28% molybdenum and very low iron, chromium and carbon. It resists hydrochloric acid at all concentrations and temperatures, plus sulphuric, acetic and phosphoric acids in reducing conditions, and is the standard lining and vessel alloy for HCl service.
