ER308L wire and E308L-16 electrodes are the standard filler metals for welding SS 304 and 304L. The 0.03% maximum carbon limits carbide precipitation, so the weld keeps its resistance to intergranular corrosion. They are supplied as TIG rod, MIG wire and covered electrodes.
