What is Stainless Steel Tube & Tube Fittings?
Stainless steel tube is sized by exact outside diameter and wall thickness (not nominal bore), supplied seamless and welded from Ø 3 mm to Ø 273 mm with walls from 0.5 mm to 20 mm, to ASTM A213 (boiler and heat exchanger), A249 (welded), A269 / A213 (instrumentation) and A554 (ornamental). Matching compression, ferrule and hygienic tube fittings are supplied alongside, in 304/304L, 316/316L, 321, 904L and Duplex 2205 — for heat exchangers, instrumentation lines, hydraulic systems, dairy process lines and architectural handrail.

Chemical composition and mechanical properties are grade properties, not form properties — the same grade keeps the same chemistry whether it is supplied as sheet, plate or coil. What is the difference between stainless steel tube and pipe?

Pipe is specified by nominal bore and schedule and is designed to carry fluid at pressure; tube is specified by exact outside diameter and wall thickness and is used where dimensional precision matters — heat exchangers, instrumentation, hydraulics and structural or decorative work. A 1" tube is exactly 25.4 mm OD; 1" NB pipe is 33.4 mm OD.
Which specification should we order for heat-exchanger tube?

ASTM A213 for seamless and ASTM A249 for welded heat-exchanger and boiler tube. Both require close OD and wall tolerance, hydrostatic or eddy-current testing, and flare / flattening tests, which ensures the tube expands leak-free into the tube sheet.
Do you supply instrumentation tubing that works with compression fittings?

Yes. We stock ASTM A269 / A213 seamless 316L instrument tube, fully annealed with a hardness below 80 HRB, in 1/8" to 1" sizes with ±0.08 mm OD tolerance — the condition required for twin-ferrule compression fittings to bite and seal correctly.
What internal finish is available for dairy and pharma tube?

Hygienic tube to ASTM A270 or DIN 11850 is supplied with a mechanically polished bore at Ra ≤ 0.8 µm, or electropolished to Ra ≤ 0.4 µm for WFI and clean-steam service, with 3-A sanitary and material certification.
Can you bend tube to our drawing?

Yes. CNC mandrel bending and U-bending are done in-house, holding ovality within specification for heat-exchanger bundles and handrail radii, followed by stress relief and re-testing where the specification requires it.
Do you stock square and rectangular tube?

Yes — square from 10×10 mm to 150×150 mm and rectangular from 20×10 mm to 200×100 mm, mostly in 304 and 316L to ASTM A554, in satin No.4 and mirror finishes for handrail, balustrade, furniture and light structural work.
